GPS Tracking

Track vehicles, map routes, create meaningful reports and more.

Flexible fleet intelligence starts with Synovia SOFTWARE and SUPPORT

Whether you’re a transportation director managing a fleet of school buses carrying students around your community or a fleet manager charged with keeping essential municipal vehicles on the road to support a growing city or county, every leader responsible for operating and maintaining fleet vehicles are increasingly relying on technology to improve services.

With GPS-powered fleet tracking, managers can add another powerful layer of technology that can not only improve service but also help the fleet save money, enhance service and increase safety. Synovia boasts nearly two decades of experience working with a diverse range of customers – from the smallest school districts with only a handful of buses to some of the largest and most dynamic counties charged with keeping the engines of our nation’s prosperity running smooth – to accomplish all three.

Our real-time info coupled with actionable historical reporting provides fleet managers with the facts to make smarter decisions.

Reporting Tailored for You

Synovia Solutions software can provide much more than simple real-time location tracking. Our historical and tailored reporting are used to help managers ensure their teams are operating at peak efficiency and with a keen eye on safety. Simply better idling management alone can be a powerful tool to save fuel and lower fleet costs.

For some customers, that means reports that detail safety data points like speeding, harsh braking/turning or any other kind of aggressive driving. Our customers have seen significant reductions in undesirable driving habits after installing Synovia’s GPS-powered fleet tracking solutions. For other customers, reporting metrics are based around fuel savings and tied to excessive idling and driving outside of the work zone.

Today more states and the federal government are passing anti-idling statutes to reduce vehicle pollution. In many cases, our customers realize enough savings from reduced idling that our solution can pay for itself.

And while most employees are responsible stewards of taxpayer resources, we know the power of having an extra set of eyes on your vehicles to ensure they are where they are meant to be. Our reporting allows fleet mangers to have all of these features easily accessible and easy to convert into actionable improvements for your municipal, commercial and education fleet.

From our desktop version or the robust mobile app, Synovia delivers GPS-enable location tracking and a full suite of fleet intelligence tools designed to improve safety, enhance service and save money.

Track stolen assets

No one thinks it will happen to them, but vehicle theft is still a prevalent issue. From the largest cities to quiet rural hamlets, vehicle theft continues to cost society millions of dollars every year. The National Insurance Crime Bureau reports that theft continues to rise despite the proliferation of technology meant to deter theft.

The NICB suggests four tactics for deterring theft:

Common Sense: Lock your car and take your keys. It’s simple enough, but many thefts occur because owners make it easy for thieves to steal their cars.

Warning Device: Having and using a visible or audible warning device is another item that can ensure that your car remains where you left it.

Immobilizing Device:  If your vehicle can’t be started, it can’t be stolen. “Kill” switches, fuel cut-offs and smart keys are among the devices that are extremely effective.

Tracking Device: Tracking devices are very effective in helping authorities recover stolen vehicles. Widely referred to as “telematics,” the pairing of GPS and wireless technologies to allows remote monitoring of a vehicle. If the vehicle is moved, the system will alert the owner and the vehicle can be tracked via computer.

Construct Connect – High-Cost Construction Equipment Theft

Some reports estimate that less than one in four pieces of stolen commercial equipment is recovered each year.

That can equate to more than $300 million worth of lost commercial vehicle equipment annually. Don’t let your high valued asset be next. Our technology has already recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars of lost or stolen equipment for our customers from California to Florida.

At Synovia, our GPS-enabled fleet tracking solutions can serve as a powerful tool to deter theft and recover high-valued items if they do go missing.

New and Inventive Uses

Our customers are finding new and inventive ways to leverage GPS technology to better serve their communities every day.

From pre-positioning vehicles ahead of a hurricane to ensure a Florida county is prepared to respond rapidly following the storm to a Virginia city integrating our reporting to streamline federal reporting requirements, Synovia customers are leveraging our software to better meet the growing demands of their customers: taxpayers and citizens.

A California city manager recently used our technology to defend one of his employees who was charged with driving recklessly following an interaction with a frustrated citizen. The GPS-powered solutions validated the drivers’ claim of driving appropriately and the issue was resolved discreetly.

Another customer used the software to refute a false claim from an insurance company.

In much the same way video has transformed the legal system with objective evidence, GPS-powered fleet tracking can provide the same extra layer of service and security for your fleet as well as employees and drivers.
